Emergency Care for Fire and Rescue (ECFaR)

Course Price: £3,495 per 4 day course minimum 8 maximum 12 delegates

This LIVES course is designed specifically for Fire and Rescue Services. Delegates will on successful completion be awarded the
HSE First Aid at Work and IHCD First Person on Scene Intermediate Certificates.

The Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD) is the Awarding Body (via Edexcel) for NHS Ambulance Services throughout the
United Kingdom. The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh maintains standards in pre-hospital
medical care for doctors, emergency service personnel and nurses.

The course can be offered at LIVES HQ in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, or at the Fire and Rescue organisation's training location. It

is delivered using a mixture of Lectures and practical work undertaken at Skill Stations and Workshops

Course verification is achieved through practical scenario-type assessments and a multiple choice IHCD examination.

Successful students will be awarded an IHCD Intermediate Certificate and an HSE First Aid at Work certificate.

Clinically endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (Edinburgh), IHCD Intermediate certification confirms that students have satisfied
qualified medical assessors that they have achieved the requirements of the course having reached a high level of knowledge and skill.
