First Aid for Children

This one day course provides the candidate with the knowledge and practical skills needed to provide First Aid and Basic Life Support to sick and injured children.

All persons passing the course will receive a certificate valid for 1 year, and will have been assessed to be competent in the following:

� Special Considerations when dealing with children

� CPR in children

� Wounds and Bleeding

� Burns

� Injuries to Bones, Joints and Tendons

� Medical Problems

� Poisoning and Child Abuse
