HSE First Aid at Work* / First Aid at Work Refresh

Course duration for Health & Safety First Aid at Work course is *3 days with effect from 1st October 2009

The First Aid at Work Refresh course is 2 days

It is strongly recommended that those who hold a First Aid at Work certificate attend an annual 3 hour Basic Skills update Course

All persons passing the course will receive an HSE First Aid at Work Certificate valid for 3 years.

The course covers the following subjects:

�  Unconsciousness

�  Bones, Muscles and Joints

�  Minor Injuries

�  Major Injuries

�  Burns & Scalds

�  Eye Injuries

�  Poisons

�  Medical Conditions

�  First Aid Boxes

�  Transporting Casualties

�  Record Keeping

�  Communication in an Emergency
