IHCD First Person on Scene (FPOS) - Basic Course

The 'Industry Standard' initial course for Community First Responders

Course Price: £350 per person

The Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD) is the Awarding Body (via Edexcel) for NHS Ambulance Services throughout the United Kingdom. The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh maintains standards in pre-hospital medical care for doctors, emergency service personnel and nurses.

The First Person on Scene basic course is a two day course which consists of:

� The Pre-Hospital Environment

� Patient Assessment

� Respiration and Airway Management

� Basic Life Support

� Defibrillation

� Circulation and Shock

� Medical Related Emergencies

� Trauma Related Emergencies

All persons passing the course practical and written assessments will receive an IHCD Basic Certificate valid for 3 years
